MAIN ROLE: PART TIME FLORAL DESIGNER

POSITION TASKS INCLUDE

​​

  • Working on our floral studio and/or events on site

  • Flower processing, preparation, cleaning, organizing

  • Designing: skills to create hand tied bouquets, vase arrangements, along with other wedding installations and event flowers

  • Loading / unloading / delivery / setup / tear down / pickup for events 

  • Creative and hard working, this job is for a designer with experience in a retail flower shop or events with at least 2 years of design experience, who understands the daily requirements of receiving, processing and maintaining flowers and the physical demands that go along with the work in the event floral designing.

  • Customer service tasks

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • A completed relevant degree/diploma from a recognized college/university program

  • Experience in flower shop having similar style with W Floral is a bonus

  • Gets stuff done quickly, efficiently, and without first being asked or needing

  • Must be a quick thinker and problem solver

  • Competent in Microsoft office programs eg. Word, Excel, and Powerpoint Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Deadline-focused ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Positive attitude with an ability to take initiative

  • Ability to collaborate with internal staff and external clients at all levels

  • The ability to be flexible and respond well to change

  • Customer-focused work ethics

  • Have excellent communication, motivational and team player skills

  • Very detail-oriented, well-organized

  • Always punctual

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, inclusive of maintaining the store

  • Must be dependable and able to work on weekdays as well as weekends

  • G licence and owning a car are bonus

  • Must be able to work overtime on holidays and special occasions

PAY 

  • pay depends on the level of experience

  • about 20 hours weekly
